Nashville, TN

Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TNFrom the Country Music Hall of Fame to the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville has music ingrained in its culture. Colorful streets lined with art galleries and unique shops welcome you at every turn. You may also tour The Hermitage, the home of President Andrew Jackson.

Day 2
Clarksville, TN

Customs House Museum and Cultural Center in Clarksville, TNClarksville rose to prominence as a tobacco port during the 1800’s. While visiting, you may tour the Custom House museum, the historic design of which has architectural influences from around the world, or the Don F. Pratt Memorial Museum, which houses modern military history. You may also explore Dunbar Cave, which is easily accessible and available for frequent tours.

Day 3
Dover, TN

Cannon at Fort Donelson during shore excursionIn 1862, General Simon Buckner surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant at Fort Donelson, marking the first major Union victory of the War. Tour this significant battlefield and learn about the surrender. 

Day 4
Paducah, KY

Visit the American Quilt Museum in Paducah, KYFrom quilting to shopping to learning about Civil War history, there is plenty to do in Paducah. Tour the American Quilt Museum and search for fabrics or inspiration in the Lower Town Arts District. Shop at Paducah’s eclectic galleries and stores. You may also take tours about its tumultuous Civil War history, as it switched hands between the Union and Confederate forces.

Columbus, KY

Columbus - Belmont State ParkOnce a prominent trading post, Columbus is the oldest town in the Jackson Purchase region of Kentucky. Today, remnants of the Civil War are still present connecting the past and present at Columbus-Belmont State Park. This 156-acre park and interpretive center offers visitors a step back into American Civil War History.

Day 6
Cape Girardeau, MO

Old St. Vincent's Church on River Cruise to St. LouisJust thirty miles from the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers, this river town became an important trading post in 1800s. Visited by Lewis and Clark, Cape Girardeau has a varied history that is influential throughout the town. Marvel at the outdoor murals reflecting the area's rich history.

St. Louis, MO

Gateway Arch St. Louis, MO on Nashville to St Louis cruiseThis “Gateway to the West” was the epicenter for exploration following the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. Now, it is the largest city visited during the cruise and has a distinct metropolitan culture.
