Acadia National Park

A half day excursion, offered on our New England Cruises while in Bar Harbor
Acadia was first established in July 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson as Sieur de Monts National Monument and was given its current name in 1929. This national treasure has been well preserved thanks to the vision and donations of private citizens who anticipated the dangers of over-development and acted to prevent it. Take a ride to Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the Eastern Seaboard offering magnificent ocean views.  Stop at Thunder Hole, a small inlet, naturally carved out of the rocks, that waves roll into.

Acadia National Park

Portland Head Light, a white lighthouse next to a large white building with a red roof, with the pink and yellow sun set over Casco Bay in the distance. In the foreground, there is a large area filled with tall yellow flowers.
From cultural landmarks to scenic landscapes, each destination along the Maine Coast cruise offers a unique blend of history, natural beauty, and local flavor, with stops in Portland, Bath, Bar Harbor, Castine, and more.
