Day 1 - Tacoma, WA
Upon your arrival at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you'll be greeted by representatives of American Cruise Lines and transported to your hotel accommodations in Tacoma.
In the afternoon, gather at the hotel for a Welcome Reception, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers, enjoy refreshments, and receive a brief overview of the exciting week ahead in the Puget Sound region.
In the evening, all guests will travel to a local popular restaurant to enjoy a festive Welcome Dinner, savoring locally inspired cuisine in a uniquely Pacific Northwest setting.
Day 2 - Mount Rainier National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, start your journey to Mount Rainier National Park, known for having one of the most prominent volcanoes in the contiguous U.S., as well as the highest peak in the Cascade Range, Mount Rainier itself.
Led by your local expert guides, step into a world of natural and cultural heritage at the Longmire Historic District. Enjoy a leisurely hike through old-growth forests, explore the Longmire Museum, and take in the charm of the historic buildings that tell the story of the park's early history.
Located on the southern slope of the mountain at about 5,400 feet in elevation is Paradise, offering sweeping views of Mount Rainier’s massive glaciers and surrounding valleys. Take time to wander through the historic Paradise Inn and the Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center for fascinating exhibits and interpretive displays. Stop midday for lunch in the fresh mountain air.
A short, scenic walk brings you to Myrtle Falls for a perfect photo opportunity at this stunning waterfall framed by the snow-capped peak of Mount Rainier. Throughout the day, enjoy stops at some of the park’s other breathtaking viewpoints, including Inspiration Point, featuring sweeping views of valleys and ridgelines; Reflection Lake, where Mount Rainier mirrors beautifully in the still water; and Narada Falls, a dramatic two-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush forest.
As the day winds down, return to Tacoma for a relaxing dinner on the waterfront, where you can enjoy harbor views and delicious Pacific Northwest cuisine.
Day 3 - Mount Rainier and Surrounding Area
Set out for a memorable exploration of the lands surrounding Mount Rainier.
Board our comfortable motorcoach for a ride to a local Indigenous community, where you will be treated to a deeply enriching cultural experience. Through shared stories and traditions, gain a meaningful understanding of the people who have called this region home for generations. The visit includes a traditional meal, offering a taste of regional heritage and hospitality.
Continue to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, a peaceful sanctuary for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike. Along the boardwalks and trails is where you may spot migratory birds, native wildlife, and expansive views of this Puget Sound-fed estuary landscape.
In the afternoon, travel to the historic town of Elbe to board the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad. Relax as the vintage train winds through lush forests and past grand mountains, bringing to life the area’s logging and railroading legacy in the greater Mount Rainier region.

Day 4 - Port Angeles, WA
Set off on a scenic and enriching journey to the northern gateway of the Olympic Peninsula. Along the way, stop in the heart of Washington’s government, the State Capitol in Olympia. Take a guided tour of the grand Legislative Building, gaining insight into the state’s history and political landscape.
Lunch in Olympia features a taste of the town’s dynamic culinary scene before continuing your route north. As the drive unfolds, pause at a scenic spot nestled along Hood Canal, where you can take in the sweeping waterfront views and stretch your legs. Next, visit Dungeness Spit, a unique natural formation and wildlife refuge that extends dramatically into the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Day 5 - Olympic National Park
Start the day with breakfast before heading to Olympic National Park with your Adventure Guides. This uniquely diverse destination features lush temperate rainforests, Pacific coastline, and snow-capped mountains all in one place.
Your first scenic stop is Lake Crescent, a glacier-carved, crystal-clear lake surrounded by soaring evergreens. Admire the magnificent views and capture stunning photos as you make your way to the glacier.
Continue west to the small town of Forks, a charming and remote outpost that offers a glimpse into the quiet life on the Olympic Peninsula. Explore the magical Hoh Rainforest, one of the few remaining temperate rainforests in the world. Then, travel toward the dramatic coastline for a picnic lunch at Rialto Beach, a windswept stretch of shore known for its sea stacks, driftwood, and coastal tidepools.
As the afternoon winds down, return to Port Angeles and relax before enjoying dinner at a local favorite offering fresh seafood, regional cuisine, and a cozy atmosphere.
Day 6 - Burlington, WA
Head into the mountains for a morning excursion to Hurricane Ridge, where breathtaking views await. Below the ridge, deep forested valleys disappear into the distance, while on a clear day, you can see all the way to the Strait of Juan de Fuca and even Vancouver Island. Stroll the scenic trails or simply take in the awe-inspiring landscapes.
From there, begin your journey north to the historic seaport of Port Townsend, known for its Victorian architecture and vibrant arts scene. Stop for a leisurely lunch, where local flavors are served with beautiful views of the waterfront.
Travel to Deception Pass State Park, featuring towering cliffs, forested trails, and the iconic Deception Pass Bridge connecting Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands. As you drive over the high bridge, view the coastline and the swirling waters below.
Visit the charming town of La Conner for dinner, known for its walkable waterfront, Salish Sea setting, local dining, and small-town hospitality, before checking into your hotel.
Day 7 - North Cascades National Park
On your final day, take a scenic drive to North Cascades National Park. Often called the “American Alps,” it features 300 glaciers, more than any other U.S. park outside Alaska. The park’s alpine lakes, cascading waterfalls, and dense evergreen forests create stunning scenery at every turn.
As you enter the park, stop at the North Cascades Visitor Center, where exhibits and rangers provide insight into the beauty and ecological significance of this wild mountain range.
From here, choose your adventure with two beautiful hikes: The Trail of the Cedars, which is a moderate trail that winds through towering old-growth forest, or The Ladder Creek Falls Trail, a more difficult short walk to cascading waterfalls and lush moss-covered surroundings.
Next, pause to admire Gorge Creek Falls, before continuing to one of the park’s crown jewels, Diablo Lake, surrounded by glacier-carved peaks and surreal turquoise waters. After, stop to admire jaw-dropping views of Liberty Bell Mountain and the surrounding wilderness, the perfect finale to your North Cascades experience.

Day 8 - Tacoma, WA
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take you to your ship in Tacoma to begin your journey along Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. Find a comfortable spot on the ship and bask in the Pacific Northwest beauty that stretches out before you.
Day 9 - Anacortes, WA
As the “Gateway to the San Juan Islands”, this charming town is truly a hidden gem. With its quaint streets lined with historic buildings and panoramic views of the surrounding waters and forested islands, Anacortes exudes a timeless elegance. Here, maritime heritage intertwines seamlessly with modern-day coastal living making it the perfect place to wander or kick it into high gear on board an aluminum jet catamaran to see seaside town from every angle.
Day 10 - Friday Harbor, WA
In Friday Harbor, adventure awaits around every corner. Watch the emerald waters of the Salish Sea reveal the graceful dance of orcas, their dorsal fins slicing through the waves. Keep your eye out for one very special orca, Spirit, adopted by American Cruise Lines during our first Puget Sound voyage.

Day 12 - Victoria, BC / Port Angeles, WA
On the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria, BC, exudes an old-world charm blended seamlessly with modern elegance.
