Nashville, also known as “Music City” is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Johnny Cash Museum. Memphis is one of America's most renowned music towns and also home to the famous Sun Studios and Graceland mansion. It’s also the city that launched the careers of Elvis Presley, B.B. King, and many other legendary Country and Blues musicians. St. Louis is synonymous with the Blues, enough so that there is a specific style of the genre called "St. Louis Blues." It’s also the birthplace of Miles Davis, Roosevelt Sykes, and Ike Turner.

Todd Weber

Todd Weber brings tales of the patriots, fur traders, Native Americans, and explorers of America alive through his period clothing and colorful presentation. This highly celebrated, river-running historian shares his appreciation for the stamina, ingenuity and character that existed in those who helped shape the history of America on the Columbia River.

Charles Petrocci

Charles A. Petrocci has traveled and worked in more than 35 countries and has written over 900 articles and reports. He currently serves as a maritime cultural heritage researcher and consultant for numerous reputable universities, museums, and non-profit organizations/foundations. Mr. Petrocci's lectures focus on coastal maritime history, fisheries, and the heritage of the Atlantic Coast.

Karen "Toots" Maloy

Toots is an expert river historian with a distinguished history on America's rivers. A perennial passenger favorite, "Toots" brings the history and culture of America's great rivers to life with her wealth of knowledge.

Sam Ladley

Sam Ladley is a New England maritime historian who has been traveling with American Cruise Lines for many years. Mr. Ladley's expertise is in our country's nautical and colonial past. His enthusiastic presentations include themes on colonial settlement, Native Americans, whaling history, coastal and island communities, and shipbuilding.

  • What is a Riverlorian? Created by combining the words river, lore and historian together, a Riverlorian is a knowledgeable person who shares the rich history and folklore of America's rivers with others.

Vicksburg, MSBattle of Vicksburg Tour

Led by a local park ranger, explore the National Military Park which commemorates the campaign, siege and defense of Vicksburg in 1863. The tour concludes at the Visitors Center where life-sized exhibits and artifacts from the Siege of Vicksburg are on display. The excursion concludes with a brief tour of downtown Vicksburg and the riverfront murals.

This Mississippi River cruise focuses on the life and times of Samuel Clemens, arguably America's greatest author. Explore the river that served as inspiration for Mark Twain, complete with a Mark Twain impersonator, and a special behind-the-scenes tour in Hannibal, MO, Twain's boyhood hometown.


Clarkston, WAHells Canyon Jet Boat Tour

We have chartered the Hells Canyon Jet Boat to take you through the deepest canyon in America. Explore places most boats cannot reach on the river and witness the amazing transformation in geography from high desert to alpine forests. The Plantation has been called “The Grande Dame of the Great River Road.” Enjoy the ¼ mile canopy of 300 year old live oaks as you make your way to the Greek Revival antebellum home. Enjoy a guided tour of the big house, conducted by guides in period clothing and then explore the magnificent grounds on your own. Port Angeles, WAButchart Gardens & Victoria City Tour

This full day adventure begins with a ferry ride to Victoria, BC. On this guided tour, you will learn more about Victoria and visit Butchart Gardens—one of Victoria’s most famous and popular attractions. As you make your way around the gardens, walk through intimate stone paths and streams lined with colorful arrays of flowers and trees. At the conclusion of the tour, walk around town before taking the ferry back to Port Angeles.


NEWPORT, RIScenic Trolley Tour

Take a narrated tour of historic and iconic Newport. With the brilliant Atlantic Ocean on one side and some of the country’s most impressive properties on the other, this celebrated trail is an unforgettable one.
